in the operation in Witeithie estate , the impounded liquor bore bogus KRA stamps.

In  the crackdown led by Komo Snr. Chief Mucui Muiruri and Snr. Assist Chiefs James Gitau (Witeithie) and George Mbugua (Nyacaba), the trio who were accompanied by village elders stormed DB
Bar at 10am following a tip off.

Inside the premises, the administrators impounded assorted brands of suspected illicit brews, fake KRA stamps, 100 liters of ethanol and brewing apparatus. Also recovered were cartoons of bottle caps and crates with empty bottles.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, residents said the owner of the bar has been making and packing his products in the premises that masquerades like a bar before releasing the same for consumption.
