Deputy Governor John Barorot resigns

After missing in action in several occassions Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor  John Barorot has resigned.

He made the announcement at a meeting with senior county staff at the Eka Hotel in Eldoret in the presence of Governor Dr Jonathan Bii.

A Formal announcement is to be made shortly at the Uasin Gishu County headquarters.

His resignation comes barely a week after he dismissed claims that he had quit office.

The claims emerged after Barorot last week when President William Ruto’s conferred City status to Eldoret sparking speculation over his whereabouts.

He termed the reports on his resignation as rumours but did not explain why he was absent from the key event in the city.
