IEBC clears way for a national referendum

 Referendum on way as politicians ready to kick off campaigns

National Referendum is metres away after IEBC has confirmed verrification of 1,140,485 signatures backing BBI.

Commission Chairman Wafula Chebukati said as at January 19, the signatures were confirmed valid as the process demand. 

The BBi document has been sent  to the counties for deliberations.

The communication on the status of the signatures has been communicated to county assemblies which are crucial in the reform process.

"The iniative promoted by Dennis Waweru and MP Junet Mohammed met the requisite threshold"said the commission chairman.
