Six months after Peter Lemerian Matunge relinquished his nominated seat at the county assembly of Laikipia, the appointing authority has picked Mr Lochimidi J. Esokon as his replacement.
The Independent Boundaries and Electoral Commission (IEBC) has notified the public of the replacement of Matunge after he joined Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi’s cabinet.
In the assembly, matunge from Laikipia north sub county represented the interest of the marginalized community.
Matunge took over the post of Environment and Natural Resources County Executive Committee member after the exit of the former Njenga Kahiro, who moved to head an international environmental body in the eastern African region.
Similarly, the commission in Kiambu county assembly has published the nomination of Felistas Wanjiku Njoroge to take over the slot previously held by Yvonne Wanjiku Waweru. Waweru joins to take up a slot on the gender top up list.
